On Fridays, Joseph, Kareem and Asante get out of school at noon and head directly to the Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club in Dorchester for their weekly basketball game with Executive Director, Scott McLellan. Having watched these guys play, we can tell you that they are stars in the making. There are more than 14,000 other young people in the Boston area benefiting from the programs offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB), which oversees ten Clubs and many partnership programs. The kids know that BGCB offers a fun and safe place to "hang out" and pursue everything from the arts to technology to their favorite sports.
