As the #9 seed of 12 teams, My team was not a favorite to go far in districts let alone make it to the Mass D1 State Championship.
We faced the #1 seed in the district championship game. I came in for a 2 inning save with a 1 run lead. In the bottom of the 9th inning the first 3 batters reached, any type of hit would have ended the game.
I struck out the next batter, snaired a line drive back at my face (I have video!), and forced a fly out to win the district championship when our backs were against the ropes.
