I have played 14 years of professional hockey. Not many athletes can say they shook hands with the President of the United States in the White House. Or that they were a teammate of "The Great One" in his final season with the New York Rangers.
It has not been all Lear jets and charter flights. I've ridden the bus in ten countries (Austria, Finland, Germany, Canada, USA, Switzerland, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and the Czech Republic) for the better part of my career.
I've fought through 6 concussions, 3 blown out knees, 2 separated shoulders, calcification from torn muscles, 3 broken noses, over 100 facial stitches and more aches and pains than I would care to speak of. I never quit chasing my dreams and the love for team sport and competition, I am an owater athlete.
